Young People from Midtown Educational Foundation (MEF) visit Libertyville
In July 2023, two groups of young people from the Midtown Educational Foundation (MEF) in Chicago visited our corporate headquarters in Libertyville. A number of Hollister Associates volunteered to spend time with the students, answering their questions and conducting tours of the building – including tours of Engineering, R&D, and the John & Minnie Schneider Inspiration Center.
The Mission of the Midtown Educational Foundation is to guide low-income urban Chicago young people along pathways of success through enrichment programs that embrace dignity of the person and focus on academic excellence, character development, individual attention, and parental engagement.
“All of us at Hollister are proud to support the work being done at Midtown,” Hollister President Abinash Nayak said, “and we are proud to be part of the business community in Chicago that supports this work of helping young people in the inner city to make good choices in life through programs that focus on character development and service to others.
“Since the mid 1980’s, when Hollister first began its association with Midtown,” Abinash continued, “there have been countless success stories of Midtown young people overcoming obstacles and achieving success – personally, academically, and professionally – and contributing in ways that benefit not only them and their families, but also the entire community. We truly believe in these young people – and in others like them throughout the global community.” ′
